Coffee

Sounds familiar

Let me guess... buy them a coffee?

This is correct and is also nothing new. We all love coffee and we want to share the love but who has considered the barister? We buy our influencers a coffee but the barister who used to be part of this token of gratitude is being swallowed by low quality giants. Lets empower the barister too! This is why in addition to our standard influencers contract we offer coffee NFT's. When you purchase a coffee you own a real coffee. You can take that coffee to one of our partners and exchange it for an actual coffee. This allows the barister to continue their art.

How then does the influencer benefit?

Why not buy the influencer an actual coffee and send them the coffee. Firstly this is a very awesome thing to do. You get to see the coffee and give it to them and they get to see the coffee too. Further to this the influencer then has a couple options. They can use the coffee NFT and literally get themselves coffee or they can consume the coffee digitally and withdraw the value of the coffee from the NFT as money.

Isn't it simpler to just transfer normally?

It is but with a used coffee the influencer is able to use the Open Earth ecosystem to gain a return on the coffee. You see when you buy the coffee you purchase an NFT, you then donate this coffee to the influencer and they then consume it. They are then left with a consumed coffee. This consumed coffee can then be purchased on the open market for use in the Open Earth ecosystem for the rate the influencer wishes. We actively incorporate these used coffees in The Elementals game and this ensures a used coffee has a good market price. So now instead of simply giving a donation you give a donation that can give even more.

What does the barister get?

Our barister partners have a set cost to make the coffee with a set mark-up. We sell their coffee at their market price and their cost is the reserve amount for the influencer while their mark-up they will receive. This is exactly the same as a real coffee. Sales price - cost = profit.

Who can apply to be a barister?

We encourage any small, non-chain coffee business to apply. This can be your fixed location coffee shop, your online coffee shop or a pop-up tuk tuk coffee shop. We have certain criteria you need to meet but will discuss this once signed up.
