What is a cause?

A cause is a specific non-profit organisation that Open Earth Labs has identified as a valuable cause to support. The cause could be a conservation effort or a humanitarian effort. These causes are carefully vetted and only causes that meet the strict requirements of Open Earth Labs will be included.

How are they benefited?

The cause will at no cost to the cause have a full NFT collection generated. The collection will be specific to the cause and themed around the cause. The NFT's are then minted and sold with a creator fee of 10%.

The after-tax profit of the sales of the cause are split into 2. 50% of the after-tax profit is used to form a ring-fenced reserve specific to that cause and the remaining 50% is deposited into the main 10% Club Reserve to be used to ensure the sustainability of the 10% Club and its causes and initiatives.

The causes fund will seek to generate an annual return that would provide the cause with a stable and reliable monthly income. This income is critical for most causes who cannot easily fulfill their goals due to cashflow issues. The fund will increase over time and so will the monthly income.
